Super 8 Developing + Scanning
Flic Film Lab is now developing and scanning your Super 8 films!
What is Super 8?
Super 8 film is a 8mm wide motion-picture format introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1965, designed for easy-to-use, handheld home movies and independent filmmaking. It is known for its distinct, nostalgic, and warm aesthetic, featuring a visible grain, soft color palette, and, in many cases, a 24-frame-per-second capture rate.

Our current turnaround times are 10 business days from when we receive the film
What is the difference between ENC-2 AHU and ECN-2 (With remjet) ?
ENC-2 AHU is film with out a remjet layer making it easier to develop. All film made after Aug 2025 will be AHU film. Any film made before Aug 2025 will be ECN-2 (With remjet) and needs a extra step for developing. You can also tell if there is remjet on your roll of super 8 if there is a black backing to the film.
How is the scan sent to me?
Scans are sent via a dropbox link where you can download the file.
What is the resolution and size of the scan?
The resolution of the scan is 2K and file size is approximately 1.5gb-3gb
Do you develop expired/old super 8 film?
For any super 8 film that is suspected to be 15 years or older they will be priced on a case by case basis. With any expired film there is always a large risk of the film being blank due to time. Please email us if you are interested in having old/expired film being developed.
